January 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

It is a common refrain: “I’d get something done if I weren’t always interrupted and distracted.” There are tools and techniques that help you manage your daily schedule better and get more productive work done. However even when someone is familiar with the processes, they may still not be utilizing the concepts. Why?

Have you ever considered that interruptions are a way to feel that you accomplished a lot even though you never got around to your priority work for the day? If you know many of the ways to deal with daily interruptions, as we teach in our time management training sessions, and you are still not grouping activities together and using solid blocks of uninterrupted time, you might want to check out some of the ways to cope with procrastination tendencies.

Our monthly newsletter article for January focuses on helping a procrastinator when you are the “do-it-now” person. We also have a recent blog posting listing “7 Reasons Why You Procrastinate and How to Change.”

Don’t let the daily interruptions and work distractions keep you from having your most successful year, a year where you move forward on your goals.
