SpeedFiler for Outlook - Instant Email Filing

August 2nd, 2007 · No Comments

A new program that has come to my attention is a solution for those struggling with email management. Speedfiler for Outlook provides an easy method to file both incoming and outgoing messages, if you are an Outlook user.

What I currently observe happening in my time management training seminars and when working with individual clients is that email inboxes are no longer inboxes. Instead they are a combination of inbox, file cabinet, ToDo list, and address book.

As I teach processes for keeping email inboxes cleared, I find that most people have created some general reference files. However they may not be filing everything because they do not want to take the time to stop and move the item.

SpeedFiler can help you here with its quick popup box letting you click on the folder in which you want to save the item. The program then actually moves the item for you. What I find even more exciting is the fact that you can do the same thing with your outgoing mail. Up to now, the most generally used solution was to “bcc” yourself as an alert to save this, and then when that landed in the inbox, you could drag it to a folder.

Check out our webpage introduction. If you would like to try it, you can find a link to a free download from there.
